Why do people complete solar and energy efficiency projects?
In my experience, most people who complete projects are financially motivated first-and-foremost. Concerns about climate change also rank highly – often the second or third motivation to install solar and energy efficiency upgrades.
Here are two statistics to share with environmentally-minded homeowners:
- If the US electricity system were powered by zero carbon generation, that would reduce total US emissions 30%.
- If you then electrified buildings, transportation, even half of industry, that would boost reductions by more than 70%.
