When it comes to short term lead generation, I haven’t seen any marketing channels outperform Google Ads, at least for solar and energy efficiency contractors.

Email offers one of the best returns on investment, but your results will scale only as fast as your subscriber list.

SEO also delivers powerful results that cost less than advertising over time. The key phrase here: “over time.” Ranking for competitive terms takes months or more.

But sometimes you need to rapidly increase or decrease lead generation. Let’s say you want to fill the calendar for a new salesperson, or you’re launching a new service line in 2022. You’ll want to run a Google Ads campaign.
